The Killings Joel Kinnaman Gets Robocop Offer

EXCLUSIVE: I’m told that MGM is making an offer to Joel Kinnaman to play the title role in its Robocop remake. The film’s being directed by Jose Padilha, helmer of two action packed installments of Elite Squad. Strike Entertainment partners Eric Newman and Marc Abraham are producing. Josh Zetumer wrote the script. Kinnaman, who’d take the role originated by Peter Weller in the 1987 Paul Verhoeven original, most recently turned in a memorable performance in Safe House opposite Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds. He burst on the scene in the AMC series The Killing. Before that he starred in Snabba Cash, which was directed by Safe House helmer Daniel Espinosa. Kinnaman, who’s repped by UTA and Magnolia Entertainment’s Shelley Browning, becomes the second high profile casting move made by MGM this week. The studio is in early talks with Dwayne Johnson to play Hercules.

"I'm sad to hear about all what is happening with this particular show," Jackson told reporters around the request Thursday. "But all people people are dear pals of mine you know. I've not spoken to Paula [Abdul]. I'm speaking about, we texted forward and backward. " Why The X Factor bloodbath is great news - and hopefully merely a beginning point This Year's week, it absolutely was confirmed that idol idol judges Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, along with host Steve Manley would not be returning for your second season in the X Factor. I am certain she's some very worthwhile ideas up his sleeve ... Simon's among my dearest pals in the world. In . There's more to assembling a powerful knowing panel than finding one good judge, though. The The American Idol Show Show jams its music show competition, unveils new performance challenges "Idol started with me at night, Simon, Ryan and Paula which is exactly what really introduced us towards the prominence. People people are throughout my existence forever because we did something very unique," referred to Jackson. "We'd a chemistry that individuals lucked by helping cover their. In my opinion if you do these shows, with any kind of knowing panel, what you're really trying to find is always that chemistry. We lucked by helping cover their it on Idol. Which we lucked by helping cover their it again with Steven and Jennifer. Ryan [Seacrest] which i sitting lower together before we did anything together combined with dinner together plus it just clicked on on minutes in because many of us understood each other for just about any very very long time." That elusive chemistry may be threatened, however, if Seacrest decides to go away the show. Although he declines any expects to depart Idol soon, there's been reviews that NBC is relationship him to switch Matt Lauer on Today. "In my opinion and hope and desire and pray that Ryan is unquestionably apt to be there because after i mentioned, we, Simon and Paula started this factor, which i can not imagine doing the show without him," mentioned Jackson. "I don't think that others around the program could either. He's the most effective at what he's doing. It's difficult to get these hosts that could really wrangle us and do everything that needs to be done. "In my opinion I'm going to be there for a while, no less than my contract will there be for a while,Inch he ongoing. "But listen, you never know just what the future brings. Both Ryan which i concentrate on ideas together, concentrate on ideas individually. There are many territory available to educate yourself regarding, TV-wise, show-wise, movie-wise, everything. Who knows? Maybe I'll finish up being the following Kaira Pitt or something like that like this and basically be an actress. That's always a few things i seriously considered: a respected guy. The The American Idol Show Show airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8/7c on Fox. What can you think about Carey just like a potential X Factor judge? Are you able to watch Idol without Seacrest?
