Glam Slam: Makeup Mondays Five Ways To Go From Day To Night
First Published: November 21, 2011 2:28 PM EST Credit: WireImage LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Caption Thandie Newton arrives to the Run, Fat Boy, Run NY City Premiere at the Walter Reade Theatre on September 20, 2007Heading to a holiday party after work? No time to go home and change? No problem! InStyle comes to the rescue with easy ways to transform from worker bee to Cinderella in no time flat! WIPE AWAY THE DAY There is a way to freshen up without having to redo your eye makeup: Clean your face thoroughly with a facial wipe, carefully avoiding the eye area. Then use a swab saturated in remover to clean up stray specks of mascara. PUMP UP YOUR PINK Love the idea of a bold pout but cant quite embrace red lips? Consider a high-impact pink. (like Thandie Newton, pictured.) If you wear a subtle pink lipstick during the day, a brighter rose hue will blend in on top of any residual color, says makeup artist Joette Balsamo. Its easy but totally transformative, she says. BOOST YOUR WATTAGE A touch of shimmer on the inner corners of your eyes, brow bone and cheekbones hides the ravages of the day. Choose a warm shade thats finely milled and silky, says makeup artist Fiona Stiles. Obvious glitter can make you look like a tween. RESET LASHES Nothing opens up eyes at the end of the day like recurling your lashes, says Stiles. Crimping alone will do the trick, but a few swipes of clear mascara will help set your handiwork while avoiding the chunky mess you can get from too many layers of black. (Bonus: Clear mascara also doubles as brow gel.) STOCK YOUR DESK Invest in a mini flatiron or curling iron so you can smooth out waves or refine curls in minutes. If you have fine hair, get some dry shampoo too; it will revitalize and bulk up strands. Prone to frizz? Slick hair back with a small amount of gel (or conditioner) for a fashion-forward wet look. We introduced an exclusive consider the United kingdom promo recently, and today the brand new US trailer has showed up for the watching pleasure. The Pirates! finds the Sailing Captain (Hugh Grant) itchiness to win the Sailing Of The Season award. The issue here is, he's constantly being turned away by his rivals, including Black Bellamy (Jeremy Piven) and also the sexy Cutlass Liz (Salma Hayek). And the crew is not precisely the cream from the crop. But, undaunted through the challenges, our hero promises he'll get to be the best buccaneer even when this means coping with ocean monsters, researchers (including David Tennant's Charles Darwin) and also the fearsome Full Victoria (Imelda Staunton), who thinks all who plunder the seven seas really are a pack of douchecopters.Frankly, the only real factor we do not like concerning the film delays until March 28 to determine it.

Now his film -- which stars Lily Collins, incidentally -- will ditch the "Snow White-colored" altogether and choose most likely probably the most classic phrases within the fairytale. It's nice the title is actually unique of "Snow White-colored as well as the Huntsman," because people have become confused enough in regards to the two projects since it is. CEA stirs rhetoric on anti-piracy bills
The lobbying effort on the major bit of anti-piracy legislation has joined a brand new although not unpredicted phase in Washington: As competitors seem sensors, supporters refer to it as hyperbole. What appears to possess increased the rhetoric is really a lobbying effort being mounted through the Electronic Devices Assn. from the bill, which has been around since the home a week ago and removed the Senate Judiciary Committee within an unanimous election in May. Gary Shapiro, prexy from the CEA, authored a Forbes column a week ago by which he stated the legislation is really "broadly written" that, "theoretically, it might allow any copyright owner to seal lower the best retail website, for example Amazon . com or Best To Buy, by alleging that certain product being offered on the website could 'enable or facilitate' an violation." He added it would stifle innovation, because it would give "energy on old-guard media companies having a business curiosity about slowing down digital revolution." The org introduced 15 vc's to Capitol Hill on March. 27 to urge congress from the bill. But on Tuesday, the MPAA published your blog entry mentioning that such forecasts the legislation will "break the webInch happen to be made before, simply to not pan out, including following the Supreme Court's 2005 MGM versus. Grokster decision, which held that individuals who market and distribute products employed for infringing activities might be held responsible for inducing copyright thievery. At that time, Shapiro predicted a ton of lawsuit and stated, "You never know the number of innovative items and services face a premature dying consequently of the ruling?" "Neither of those bills perform the horrible things which have been recommended," stated Michael O'Leary, the MPAA's senior professional Vice president, global policy and exterior matters. "The concept that the web is going to be damaged, or that innovation will die aren't constructive aspects of the controversy This isn't the very first time our experts now utilize this tactic. The positive thing would be that the things they are saying will always be wrong and they'll be wrong about this too." The Safeguard IP Act within the Senate and also the similar Stop Online Piracy Act in the home concentrate on the tide of foreign websites which are dedicated to the purchase of infringing goods. JMuch from the focus continues to be on which the obligations is going to be of Internet companies, search engines like google, payment processors and ad systems is to stop support to sites that traffic in unlicensed material like movies, Television shows and music. For instance, the home version from the bill requires Internet companies and search engines like google to to "reasonable measures" as "expeditiously as you possibly canInch to avoid customers from being able to access the "rogue" sites -- like obstructing use of the site's Ip or crippling a web link text. In the home version, "expeditiously as you possibly canInch is understood to be following through within five days to be offered a duplicate of the order from the court. Meanwhile, the MPAA along with other orgs championed a study in the Intl. Intellectual Property Alliance showing that copyright industries composed 6.4% from the total GDP, which they increased in an annual rate of just one.10% in the last 3 years, outpacing the relaxation from the economy. Industry insurance supporters are also waiting for Google's written reactions to questions, due on Friday, associated with its copyright practices elevated during the time of Eric Schmidt's appearance before an antitrust subcommittee hearing in September.
